Jorgenson-Peninsula Optical has become a distinctive optical laboratory solution in the Pacific Northwest. Our story is one of strength and passion, bringing the best to our customers.

Since 1927, through four generations of the Jorgenson family, Jorgenson Optical has provided high quality products and service to independent eye care practices in the Northwest area. With that kind of history, we like to think we have been one of the true constants in the region's optical industry. We also know another constant in the industry: change.

Peninsula Optical was founded in 1987. The principles of Quality, Consistency and Excellence were born out of our early experiences in eye care practices. When Peninsula was founded, the goal was to create an atmosphere of unparalleled customer service and the history of Peninsula attests to the success of that goal. As the optical industry grew and changed, so did Peninsula Optical. From its modest start in 1987, Peninsula grew into a highly sophisticated, technologically advanced optical lab.

In 2005 Jorgenson and Peninsula became part of the Essilor family as a Partner Laboratories. This relationship brought together the resources and strength of Essilor while retaining our independence and local management.

In 2014 we combined our strengths, bringing these two well respected, thriving laboratories together. Recognizing that, in this rapidly changing environment, we were stronger together resulted in providing the best of everything to you and your customers. This partnership brings the best of technology and experience to give you, our customers, the most experienced and state-of-the-art laboratory in the Pacific Northwest.
